I’ve been getting a lot of questions on my workout routine and I have to be completely honest, I don’t workout that often. I live an active lifestyle. I travel a lot. I move a lot. I think all of these things help, but a consistent workout routine has not been a “thing” for me… until recently. I was introduced to the babes behind Tone It Up, Karena and Katrina (they are just goals… don’t get me started). They invited me come for a studio day to film their upcoming challenge. I was really scared, not going to lie. BUT I said yes with excitement because I needed something to get my butt in gear for 2017. But don’t get me wrong… I said yes while wondering if they would have Dr. Pepper and McDonald’s on set (spoiler alert… there was not). I have a lot on my plate and a lot I want to accomplish this coming year… feeling good from the inside & out is a HUGE part of meeting your goals in every aspect of your life… so I decided I was ready to take on the challenge.
I arrive at the studios and was welcomed with open arms. Phew. Now time to find the Dr. Pepper. JK. I jumped into hair and makeup and fittings. My friend Kaitlynn Carter arrived earlier and was already shooting some videos that morning. She was killing it. Seriously, she was a pro. This was a real production. 10+ crew members, tons of cameras…the WHOLE thing! I was nervous and super excited!
Once I got dressed and my hair and makeup was complete, I was totally feeling like Jane Fonda and I jumped into my first set of filming. To my surprise, I ended up doing the workouts just fine! They’re fun & upbeat… and for a girl who doesn’t spend much time in the gym, the whole process and routine was easy and completely doable. So if you see some muscles in my pics, the secret is Tone It Up.
I feel like I am #3 of the TIU empire (p.s. where can I apply for this position?!) & can definitely understand why so many girl live & breathe their community, challenges and healthy living. It feels good to be part of something with a bunch of ladies supporting you along the way. Take an inside look at my day with the girls who are literal fitness #goals…
