Put on your stretchy pants people because it is time to FEAST! Along with the magic and joy of the holiday season, also comes amazingly yummy food! I wait all year long for this special day, not only to give thanks for all the incredible blessings in my life but to pig out on a hearty, home-cooked meal surrounded by the ones I love. What could be better, honestly? In honor of this amazing holiday, I have put together a few of my favorite Thanksgiving Day dishes that are sure to be a hit at your family gathering.

APPETIZER

Honeycrisp Salad – I know what y’all are thinking, a salad Becca? REALLY? But, YES! This Honeycrisp salad is one of my absolute faves during the holidays. The fresh greens, juicy apples, and citrus vinaigrette offer much-needed relief from all the other super rich, decadent foods crowding my plate. It’s a delicious and beautiful addition to any Thanksgiving spread.

SIDE DISH

Traditional Thanksgiving Stuffing – Stuffing, Dressing . . . call it what you will, it’s DELICIOUS! This classic side dish proves to be a family favorite year-after-year and has become a staple on the menu. If you aren’t exactly the Emeril Lagasse of your posse, then this recipe is for you. It’s really easy to make and doesn’t take a lot of ingredients or time- my kinda dish!

COCKTAIL

Cranberry Mules – OK, now who doesn’t love a good cocktail? Especially when you’re spending an ENTIRE day with your family- you might need a drink . . . or two. Cranberry Mules are a fun and festive way to spice up the traditional Moscow Mule recipe. This version calls for cranberry, ginger beer, and spiced rum and is topped off with sugar-coated cranberries. Serve these babies up in a copper mug and garnish with rosemary for a beautiful (and tasty) Holiday beverage!

MAIN DISH

Turkey – And now for the main attraction, the piece de resistance, the coup de gras! TURKEY!!! Thanksgiving just would not be Thanksgiving without the turkey. I personally love a good honey-brined bird like the one in the recipe I am sharing with y’all, but there are endless ways to go about cooking your own turkey. Throw in your favorite vegetables and spices, let it marinate in a flavorful brine overnight, pop it in the oven for a few hours and you’ve got yourself one finger-lickin’ good dish!

DESSERT

Pumpkin Pie with Salted Caramel Whip Cream – Now you guys know I couldn’t forget about the dessert! Pumpkin pie is the perfect way to finish a traditional Thanksgiving meal. I love a rich, creamy filling and a tender and flaky crust. Top it off with a delicious salted caramel whipped cream for a pie that will surely impress all of your guests! YUM!

Alright, well now I am hungry! But luckily, we’re only one day away from this glorious feast so we won’t have to wait too long to dive into each of these delicious dishes!

And I just want to take a moment to thank you all for being SO supportive and amazing to me throughout the years. I am beyond grateful for the love you guys share with me every day. Have an amazing Thanksgiving and remember, STRETCHY PANTS!

XO,

Becca
